By the decision of the Board of Directors of MFGK of December 18, 2019, it was decided to establish a branch in Croatia. MFGK Croatia d.o.o. was established on February 25, 2020. The company was renamed MVM CEEnergy Croatia d.o.o. on September 1, 2021.

The main goal of establishing the Company was to expand the presence of the MVM Group on the market in the region in order to achieve synergy effects in regional trade, and to act as a user at the LNG terminal on the island of Krk.


This is intended to be achieved by regasification capacity  booking on Krk LNG terminal and procurement of MVM CEEnergy’s portfolio from the global LNG market, and by entering the upper segment of the retail market.

  • On 30 September 2013, MVM Hungarian Electricity Ltd acquired E.ON for natural gas storage and wholesale in Hungary and thus founded Magyar Földgázkereskedő Zrt. – Hungarian Gas Trade Ltd. – Hungarian gas trade – MFGK Zrt.
