ABOUT US
By the decision of the Board of Directors of MFGK of December 18, 2019, it was decided to establish a branch in Croatia. MFGK Croatia d.o.o. was established on February 25, 2020. The company was renamed MVM CEEnergy Croatia d.o.o. on September 1, 2021.
The main goal of establishing the Company was to expand the presence of the MVM Group on the market in the region in order to achieve synergy effects in regional trade, and to act as a user at the LNG terminal on the island of Krk.
FOUNDER HISTORY
This is intended to be achieved by regasification capacity booking on Krk LNG terminal and procurement of MVM CEEnergy’s portfolio from the global LNG market, and by entering the upper segment of the retail market.
- On 30 September 2013, MVM Hungarian Electricity Ltd acquired E.ON for natural gas storage and wholesale in Hungary and thus founded Magyar Földgázkereskedő Zrt. – Hungarian Gas Trade Ltd. – Hungarian gas trade – MFGK Zrt.
- In line with its medium-term strategy, the MVM Group is ready to take on a significant role in the natural gas market. MVM Group is already present in all key segments of the natural gas business, from infrastructure to sales.
- As the leading natural gas trader in Hungary, we are proud that by using alternative sources in our resource portfolio and relying on our long-term gas supply contracts, we not only maintain security of supply, but also respond to the needs of flexibility in the best possible way.
- In addition to delivering natural gas to universal service providers, natural gas traders, large customers and power plants in Hungary, our company places increasing emphasis on the development of regional sales activities.
